(reload my page. a few times.)

we took the bread and wine last night.
(minus “the wine”, plus “the grape juice”)
oh, that we would embrace the story (a mystery) from which we extract our six homiletical points.

i do not plan to go to Notre Dame. i know i do not want to go, and i believe that God has use for me elsewhere. it just still feels like i could be making a mistake to turn it down. perhaps it is arrogant for me to think that i am powerful enough to ruin my own life. and truly, i do not think it is a mistake. (kyrie eleison)

i shall try to venture to Dallas on the 4th and to Hunter’s Glen Baptist Church on the 5th. I must return to Little Rock that same evening, though.

i sleep on the floor of a house in Mabelvale quite often. my hulk hogan t-shirt is acquiring an immutable funk. i draw crosses and write Greek words around them…even though i don’t know Greek. i plan to learn to skateboard way before Jamie. he procrastinates. they played an entire Rage Against the Machine cd at The Flying Burrito last night. It got me pissed off at my burrito!!!

i love you internetters.

beginnings…

July 27, 2006

…aren’t usually beginnings, really. they’re just continuations of the same old thing in a new place. and beginnings are easier to recognize in hindsight, anyway. so that’s probably not what this is.

why does the first blog always have to be about the blog?
that seems silly, doesn’t it?
